DAN SWATMAN
about
I’m Dan Swatman, and I’m honored to serve as your current City Council Member. I’ve dedicated my career—and much of my life—to service, whether during my six years in the U.S. Navy, in the private sector as an Information Systems Manager, or right here in Bonney Lake as a public servant and community volunteer.

I’ve called the Puget Sound region home for nearly 30 years, and Bonney Lake is where I’ve chosen to live, raise my family, and give back. As a Council Member and Deputy Mayor, I chair the Community Development Committee and serve on the Finance Committee, where I work hard to ensure that growth is planned responsibly, that essential services remain strong, and that your tax dollars are spent wisely. I’m also a Certified Municipal Leader, which reflects my commitment to transparency, accountability, and effective local government.

Community involvement is personal to me. I’ve been a longtime board member and Treasurer of the Bonney Lake/Sumner Little League, and I also serve as the Secretary/Treasurer for my neighborhood’s homeowners association. Whether it’s helping manage youth programs or working to keep our neighborhoods safe and connected, I believe real leadership starts by being present and engaged.

Bonney Lake is growing fast—and I believe that growth must benefit the people who already live here. That means making smart decisions, protecting our small-town feel, and keeping Bonney Lake a safe, affordable, and family-friendly place to call home. I’d be honored to continue serving you and earning your trust.
